Is your website or blog disappointing you in the amount of money that it makes? If so, there is one thing that you can do. Simply put, attract more traffic. The more people who visit your site, the more money that you are bound to make. Do things always work out this way? Absolutely not. But every internet marketing professional will tell you that increasing traffic is the best way to increase revenue.
The question is: how are you going to bring more traffic to your site? Obviously, this is a question that every webmaster wants to know the answer to. Of course, you will need to answer this on a case by case basis. For instance, is your website doing well with direct traffic but missing the boat in the search engines? If so, you need to work on search engine optimization side of your site. This will allow you to get more organic traffic, which is always good.
There are going to be times when you feel as if your website has hit a wall. In other words, you will have a difficult time increasing traffic. When this happens, you simply need to keep going. It is not always easy to attract more readers, but it is more than possible if you put the right plan into place. After all, who ever said that making money online was a walk in the park?
Instead of adding more advertisements to your site to increase income, you should instead spend your time and efforts on bringing in more traffic. This is the number one way to take your income from one level to the next. Once you learn how to increase traffic, you can then spend time on monetization.

This is obvious for anyone who studies biology in their high-school. From a large enough population, a certain random effect is more likely to happen than from a smaller one. In the case of online goals, the more visitors you have, the more you chances of someone being interested on what’s promoted in your sidebar.
But, as with any good thing in life, traffic comes slowly. It takes time to make yourself known, heard and to create a positive image of yourself. And after that, when people DO start coming to your webplace [if I may call it so], they have to find something to keep them there, to keep them coming back. And that’s the hard part, keeping their in-flow steady.
