Free Blog Hosting

If You don’t have a hosting company yet, you have could  host your blog for free at any number of hosting companies. I have listed a few blog hosting sites here but there are many choices for free blog hosting on the internet. You can host a blog for at Wordpress.com.  Here are a few other places you can host your blog for free:

Blogger

BlogSavvy

OkayBlog

BlogThing

One of the problems you will encounter if you host your blog at one of these free blog hosting companies is that, your blog URL address will end up looking like this:

http://nameofblog.wordpress.com/

It is so much more profession if your blog has an actual dotcom name of its own.   My first blog was hosted on Blogger dotcom while I built up articles and content and then I later exported the content to my own dotcom name.   By doing this, I am creating my internet presence.  Keep in mind, one of  the first rules of blogging is to create your Identity in order to create a brand name.

In addition,  free blog hosting  may cause problems if your blog is going to contain multi-media files, Flash games and animations. You may also have a bandwidth problem should your blog start generating high traffic. There is also the question of how much support these free blog sites will be able to give you.  My web hosting comes from Blue Host.  They give excellent 24-7 support.

On the other hand, consider the fact that many people have actually made a lot of money with free blog hosting created and hosted on Blogger.com.  You should investigate all the possibilities and see what is right for your own blog and business plan.  The decision is up to you and your budget on whether you are going to use Free Blog Hosting or not and what you see as your future requirements.
